An experience with a company isn't just a purchase. You can also review a company you've contacted, been in touch with or received service from, without ending up buying anything.
Examples
- You asked customer service something and got an answer, or no answer.
- You got a quote that you turned down.
- You visited a shop or used a free service.
- You experienced the company's website, ordering process or delivery.
Remember this
- The experience must be your own and from within the past 12 months.
- Write specifically what happened, so readers can see that you didn't buy anything. E.g.: I got a quote but chose someone else.
- You may not review a company you own, work for or compete with.
- Rumours and other people's experiences aren't enough. Content that isn't based on a real experience is removed.
What does the review look like?
If you write on your own initiative, the review gets the Unprompted label. It doesn't get the Verified purchase label, but it counts just as much in the SaysScore as other reviews.
Can the company get it removed?
Not because you didn't buy anything. A company can report a review, but we only remove reviews that break the guidelines. Read the guidelines for reviewers.
