We try to store as little as possible. Here's an overview of what we have about you when you have an account.
What we store
- Email address. Used for login and for messages about your reviews. It's stored encrypted.
- First name. It's your display name on your reviews.
- Country and language. The country is shown on your reviews and decides which companies you see first.
- Your reviews. Stars, title, text, when the experience took place, and the companies' replies.
- Your activity. Which reviews you've marked as helpful, which companies you follow, and what you've reported.
- Decisions and appeals. If a moderator has held back a review, we store the decision and any appeal you made.
- Login sessions. When you logged in, when you were last active, and which browser you used.
- Your cookie choice. What you chose, and when, so we can document your consent.
What we don't store
- Passwords. You log in with a one-time code by email, so there's no password to store.
- IP addresses in plain text. We only store a keyed hash value, which can't be turned back into the address. It's deleted after 30 days and only used to prevent misuse.
What do we use it for?
We use the information to provide the service, to prevent fake reviews and misuse, and, if you've said yes, to send you the newsletter. We never sell data.
See it all for yourself
You can always download a copy of everything we have about you as one file. Read how in Download and delete your data.
